The game is all about turn-based strategy and is centered around a plot that keeps you hooked and in awe. In this game, you control many different units that all have unique personalities and their own class. All of the classes are based upon what weapons they’re able to use and their own special stats and abilities (example: Rogues have the ability to unlock doors and chests without the use of lock picks or tools). Being the third game to come out for gameboy advance, there have been many new features added to it that have differentiated it from the other two games. These features include: All new classes, like wyvern knights, summoners, mage knights, the new trainee classes (recruits, journeymen, and pupils), and many more. Certain classes now have special abilities. New weapons, like the sacred twin relics. The Tower of Valni and the Lagdou Ruins, where you can train and level up your units. You can now walk around the map and go to different places, as well as go to shops and armories that were available in the chapters you have already played. There is now a whole new horde of enemies that have been unleashed across Magvel- monsters, which include zombies called revenants, and fighting skeletons called bone walkers. Changes have been made to the classes, for example, the Valkyrie no longer wields anime magic, but now wields light magic and Sages can now use light magic as well as anime magic. When you upgrade classes, you can now choose between two different master classes (example: when you upgrade a mage, you can choose to be a Sage or a Mage Knight). After you beat the game, a new option is available in the extras menu, called map, that allows you to continue to keep playing the game, either in monster battles across the map, at the Tower of Valni, or in the Lagdou Ruins. You can also earn secret characters in this option by completing certain things. The new story line of course! :) My Opinion of This Game: My opinion of this game is very simple- IT’S GREAT! Personally, I can’t decide if this one’s the best game for Fire Emblem that has ever been made, but I can tell you this- I have spent countless hours playing it and it’s definitely worth playing. I love the fact that you can walk around the map and visit all of the shops and armories so that you can restock on weapons and items. I also like the new classes, especially the mage knight and the summoner. My advice is simply to buy the game and abuse it. Storyline: The story starts by introducing the 6 kingdoms of the land: Renais, Frelia, Rausten, Jehanna, Grado, and the republic of Carcino. It begins with the invasion of Renais. One of Renais’ most friendly allies, Grado, has invaded it and Renais didn’t stand a chance. The king was killed, the princess, Eirika, flees to Frelia, and Eirika’s twin, prince Ephraim, goes off to strike back at Grado. After fleeing to Frelia, Eirika decides to go and find her brother, whom she hasn’t seen or heard from since he left. Throughout the story, the twins of Renais try and find out why their closest ally has suddenly attacked them, and they try to find a way to end the war. They find many new friendships, betrayals, victories, hopes, despairs, and find that their dearest friend has changed utterly.
