Introduction:

Fire Emblem 2 - Gaiden, is literally FE 2- Side Story. This game is 
the oddball in the Fire Emblem series, very unlike its preceder, Fire 
Emblem 1. 

It was a true RPG, as you could travel on a map, and then enter caves, 
towns, castles, and more! The similarity was that in battle, you could 
fight like Fire Emblem 1. This game is also very similar to Fire Emblem 
- The Sacred Stones, as monsters roamed the land, and you could travel 
on a map. The game was released in 1991, and was a little rushed out. 
It was a good money maker, but it didn't have much merchandise, except 
for a book or two. 

As for the plot, Alm and Celice, 2 childhood friends, travel their 
separate ways to end the war. Finally reaching their castle, they know 
it's another step to reaching the enemies. But what is the source of 
these monsters? Is the protector losing it's energy and dieing? Become 
victorious in the war and save the whole land in a battle against 
these horrible monsters.
